Dental X-Ray

The State of Maine requires new dental facilities to have a shielding design performed by a Qualified Expert. Existing facilities installing additional x-ray units must also obtain a shielding report by a qualified expert. These shielding designs must then be submitted to the Maine State Radiation Control Program for review. Every dental x-ray unit must be inspected by a Qualified Expert with in a year of installation and every 3 years thereafter. Our physicists are all recognized as Qualified Experts in the State of Maine.
