Ultrasound

The American College of Radiology (ACR) has initiated a program for the accreditation of ultrasound testing facilities. This will address concerns among imaging specialists regarding the quality of ultrasound imaging. Semiannual testing will provide assurance that the images are properly resolved and insure correct image size, depth and definition. Physics Consultants, Inc. will develop, and direct ongoing Quality Assurance programs and protocols and provide the facility with semiannual quality assurance reports that will serve as a valuable tool for the physician and sonographer with regard to image resolution for each transducer tested.
